Day 1 Vancouver

okanagan kettle valley winter hike railwayArrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 2 Vancouver To Kamloops

Travel onboard Visa Rail via Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Overnight on the train in your cabin.

Day 3 Kamloops To Jasper

Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranch-lands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy passing through the Premier Range, with eleven peaks named after Canadian and British prime ministers. The dominant peak is Mount Sir Wilfred Laurier. Mount Terry Fox is to the east. Watch for Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3954 meters (12,972 ft.). Arrival into Jasper late afternoon with transfer service to hotel. Overnight Jasper. Breakfast & lunch served in the dining car aboard VIA Rail.

Day 4 Jasper

Morning pickup for your half day Explore Jasper Tour including Maligne Lake Boat cruise (cruise available in summer season). Your tour will take you to the Athabasca Viewpoint, Medicine Lake, and Maligne Canyon. Watch for wildlife and keep your camera ready. Jasper has an abundance of wildlife including bear, caribou, mountain goats and a host of smaller animal life such as lynx and bobcat. This evening is yours to relax in your comfortable accommodation or enjoy the quiet night life of Jasper. Overnight Jasper.

Day 5 Jasper / Athabasca Glacier - Lake Louisejasper athabasca falls hike

Early morning departure on your Rockies Discovery Tour to Lake Louise. This is an excellent way to see the Canadian Rockies travelling north to south. Your driver will provide commentary including geological information, and historical facts about the places you are visiting. Stops include Athabasca Falls & Stutfield Glacier. Venture out onto the glass-floored Glacier Skywalk to glorious views of the Canadian Rockies. Your stop at the Icefields Parkway provides you with the Glacier Adventure ride, taking you to the top of the Athabasca Glacier, and allowing you to walk around on ice formed over thousands of years. Early evening arrival into Lake Louise. Overnight Lake Louise. Hot buffet lunch at Icefields Parkway included.

Day 6 Lake Louise - Banff

Day 7 Banff

Midday transfer service takes you into the majestic town of Banff, surrounded by the Canadian Rockies. Leisure time this afternoon allows for personal exploration of the shops, restaurants, museums and art galleries located in abundance around town. Or take in the Banff Hot Springs located just minutes away from downtown Banff. Overnight Banff.

Explore Banff this morning with a sightseeing tour including Bow Falls, Tunnel Mountain Drive, Surprise Corner, Hoodoos, Two Jack Viewpoint, and Lake Minnewanka. Then take a ride to the top of the mountain with your Sulphur Mountain Gondola experience. Your mountaintop viewpoint provides exceptional visions of the gorgeous Canadian Rockies and is not to be missed. Overnight Banff.

Door-to-door transfer service is provided from Banff to Calgary today. Choose between morning, afternoon, or early evening transfer service. Drop off to downtown Calgary and the Calgary Int'l Airport.
