Discover pristine azure lakes and towering mountain-scapes in Mount Robson Provincial Park; featuring Mount Robson, the tallest peak of the Great Canadian Rockies. Before and after you hike, stay in glacial river-side lodging on the outskirts of the park in Valemount, BC. Alternatively you can stay in Jasper, Alberta which is only 1 hour away. Either place will allow you to recreate the midst of great backcountry nature. Mount Robson is only 1 hour from the town of Jasper, and Jasper National Park allowing the combination of two great parks in two great Provinces. In both areas you will find a diversity of hiking trails that can be matched to any level of fitness, iconic mountain vistas, abundant wildlife, and a diversity of heritage points of interest.

Best time to visit: Each season offers the visitor unique vistas and experiences

Spring & Summer – camping, hiking

Fall – spectacular colours and wildlife

Winter – not recommended without backcountry experience

Recommended length of stay: 2-4 days.
A trail permit is required, and limited to a maximum number of trail users per day. Bookings must be made in advance  

Stay longer: This can be first or the final stop of a Golden/Yoho National Park, or Banff/Icefields Parkway/Jasper itineraries. Day hikes abound in the area of Mount Robson that include alpine, forest or lake trails of short, or medium length for all hiking levels. Near to the park are Moose flats and other wildlife hot spots.

Challenging back-country hike including Kinney Lake, Berg, Emperor Falls, and Valley of a thousand falls. You must carry your own tent, food, and camping gear.
