Best time to visit: Each season offers the visitor unique vistas and experiences.
Spring & Summer – Excellent for camping, trail running, mountain biking, and hiking.
Fall – spectacular colours from the foliage. The sparse human activity brings forward an abundance of wildlife.
Winter – Hiking is not recommended without extensive backcountry experience.
Recommended length of stay: 2-4 days.
A trail permit is required, and limited to a maximum number of trail users per day. Bookings must be made months in advance.
Stay longer! This can be the first or final stop of a Golden/Yoho National Park OR Banff/Icefields Parkway/Jasper itineraries. Mount Robson brings forward an abundance of day-hikes that include alpine, forest or lake trails of short-to-medium length - good for all hiking levels, and easy to fit into a day at the tail-end of another itinerary.
