Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrive Buenos Aires where you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Optional city tours or Evening Tango Show.
Day 2: Buenos Aires - Tucuman (B)
Morning at leisure. Flight to Tucuman and transfer to the hotel (ET: 20 min; AD: 15km). In the afternoon. there will be a short city tour of Tucumán, passing by the Historical House, Independence Plaza and the grand park.
Day 3: Tucuman (B)
In the morning depart on the National Route across sub-tropical jungle that leads them to the city of Tafi del Valle where guests will stay overnight. The local guide will accompany passengers until day 8.
Day 4: Tafi Del Valle - Salta (B)
In the morning leave towards Salta through the lovely valleys, stopping by the Quilmes Indian Ruins. Following that, drive to Cafayate where they will visit some bodegas, the city and an handicrafts market. In the afternoon drive through the Calchaqui Valleys on the way to Salta with its interesting rock formations and beautiful scenery.
Day 5: Humahuaca (B)
In the morning, leave Salta to move further north to the Humahuaca Gorge first stopping in the small town of Pumamarca with its view of the "Mount of Siete Colores" and traditional markets. The next stop is Tilcara with its Pucara Ruins and museum to get insight to the rich history of the local people. Entrance fee at the Pucará is included. At the northern end of the gorge is the pueblo of Humahuaca with its enchanting centre, church and people. Return to Salta through the same route late in the evening.
Day 6: Salta (B)
The morning is free to explore this city aptly nicknamed, "Salta, the beautiful". In the afternoon, there will be a city tour passing by the cathedral, colonial style churches and a rather large convent in the heart of the city. Ascend the Mt. San Bernardo with its breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Lerma Valley. Leave the city of Salta for Villa Veraniega de San Lorenzo just in time to drink some tea and visit the Artesian Market.
Day 7: Salta (B)
Full day trip from Salta to the small town of Cachi which is located just a few hours away however the topographical diversity along the route between these two cities is immeasurable. There are special photographic moments at every turn. Visit one of the most famous archaeological museums and take some free time to walk around the village meeting the people who are living legends. After lunch the tour returns through "Los Cardones National Park" to Salta.
Day 8: Salta - San Lorenzo (B)
Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer with local English speaking guide to San Lorenzo, an area of subtropical jungles (Yungas) at the foot of the Andes. This is a paradise for nature lovers, specially bird watcher and represents a big contrast to the big deserts, slat flats and high mountains. 2 nights lodging
Day 9: San Lorenzo (B)
Day at leisure to relax at the swimming pool, take some optional excursions, horse back riding bird watching or others, which will be offered by the local guide the previous day. There is an interesting trekking of approx 4hs that starts near the hotel to discover paths deep in the jungle. Passengers can learn about the ecosystem of the Yungas, its vegetation and wildlife. A trekking guide can be hired locally at the hotel.
Day 10: San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) (B,L)
Very early in the morning, transfer with English speaking guide to the bus terminal for the regular public bus to San Pedro de Atacama. The route heads west driving towards the Andes ascending Lipan gorge, crossing infinite deep, white salt lakes with hundreds of flamingos and finally get into Chile (the highest pass crossed today will be 4.600 meters) among beautiful (and some active) volcanoes like Lascar and Licancabur. Arrive at the oasis of San Pedro de Atacama. On arrival you will be met by your Chilean guide and transferred to the hotel. He will explain the activities for next 72 hrs in the area.
Day 11: San Pedro de Atacama (B)
Free morning to visit the legendary and original town and its great archeological museum. In the late afternoon, regular excursion to the famous Moon Valley, the true Atacama desert with immense sand dunes and strange rock formations. From here we have a superb view of the salt flats and volcanoes. Sunset here is unforgettable.
Day 12: San Pedro de Atacama (B)
Before sunrise we start for the regular excursion to visit the famous Tatio Geysers. Experience a feast for the eyes and imagination. In the afternoon visit in a regular excursion the Atacama Salt Lake with its magnificent flamingos.
Day 13: San Pedro de Atacama (B,D)

Day 14: Departure (B)
Passengers may return to Salta, cross the Uyuni Salt Flats into Bolivia or take a domestic flight to Santiago.
